attention SCAM ALERT

Local businesses are receiving phone calls from a man falsely soliciting advertisements for a sports poster.  The caller identifies himself as Brian O’Connor from Sports Media and says that he is working with Robin Spiller, Northmont’s Athletic Director.  He goes on to tell the business owner that for a fee, he can put a business card on a sports poster that will be distributed around the community.  According to Spiller, most of the sports posters produced in the district are done by the various booster organizations.  Spiller warns all local businesses or individuals who are contacted for such an ad to please call the Athletic Department at 832-6016 BEFORE making a commitment.
