SCHEDULE PICK-UP DATES

Seventh and eighth grade students may pick up their schedules for the 2010-11 school year on the dates and times listed below. They are also encouraged to spend time locating their classrooms and becoming familiar with the building layout.

Students with last names A - I     August 10     9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Students with last names J - R       August 11     9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Students with last names S - Z      August 12     9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Make-Up Date      August 12    3:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Make-Up Date     August 13      9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.


SEVENTH GRADE PARENT AND STUDENT ORIENTATION

An orientation meeting for seventh grade parents and students will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Administrators and counselors will answer questions about middle school programs and scheduling for the 2010-11 school year. All seventh grade parents and students are encouraged to attend. Eighth grade students new to the district and their parents are also encouraged to attend.

2010 8th Grade Summer Reading List

In an effort to promote literacy and maintain reading skills, the Eighth Grade Language Arts Department has decided to require summer reading for incoming eighth graders.  The following links include a parent letter, the book list and additional information regarding the assignment.  8th Grade Summer reading letter/list  8th Grade Summer Reading Assignment for 2010

OAA Exemption: 8th grade students who passed the reading Ohio Achievement Assessment taken in April, 2010, are exempt from the summer reading assignment. Scores will be mailed home in mid July. Students may complete the assignment for extra credit.
