Watch D.O.G.S
Northmoor Elementary is participating in a great program called "Watch D.O.G.S" (Dads of Great Students). Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program that started as an effort to reduce or prevent violence in schools. It is a program that has evolved to give dads, granddads, uncles, and other father figures the opportunity to have a voice and presence in the school during the day by volunteering. Northmoor is proud to bring this worthwhile program to our school! On Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year, our Watch D.O.G.S will greet students when they arrive at school, monitor hallways and entrances, assist at lunch and recess, read to classes, work with students on special projects and homework, and assist the school staff with dismissal at the end of the day.
Watch D.O.G.S. will sign into the school office on their assigned days in the morning and receive a schedule for the day. Watch D.O.G.S. will not be in classes with their child, but may eat lunch with them.
