October News

The focus of our October PTO meeting was to finalize our budget, to continue our fund raising planning and to develop our calendar of events for the year. Here is a short meeting summary:

Fundraising Plans - The PTO has three upcoming fund raising projects:
SCRIP Gift Card/Money Card Sale - Starts this week! This sale replaces the traditional Fall Fund Raiser. We are hoping that buying gift/money cards will be easier for families, as well as more cost effective. You order gift/money cards from us, you get on the card the same amount that you paid for it, and you go to the store (or give as a gift) and buy your normal purchases. The PTO makes money by ordering the cards in bulk, so the stores give a percentage of the amount ordered back to us. We are having a large sale this month, and will also continue with monthly orders throughout the year. YOUR CHILD WILL BE BRINGING HOME THE OCTOBER SCRIP PACKET THIS WEEK!
BOX TOP COLLECTION: This is the easiest way for the school to make money! These are the box tops decals on many typical store products (cereal, ziplock bags, almost anything sold in a box). We collect these and send them in, Mans the school gets an amount for all turned in. Our collection dates are in OCTOBER and APRIL. Watch for the box toss reminder flyer coming home this month!
SPIRIT WEAR Sale: This is our sale of shirts/sweatshirts with Northmont logos on them. They are great to buy and save for holiday gift giving. We will send the order form home in November so you can plan ahead for your purchases.

Ordering Scrip is EASY!
