School Policies General Information:
The school day is 9:00 A.M. - 3:40 P.M. for grades 1-6

Report cards are distributed each nine week grading period.
Interim reports are issued at the midpoint of the grading period.
Homework Guidelines:
The Staff at Englewood Hills Elementary believe that homework is an
important part of the student's learning process. Homework helps to
reinforce the work done at school. How much time a student should spend
on homework each night is often debated. Although this will vary from
student to student, as well as, on type of activity, we offer the following
guideline. As with all guidelines, common sense must prevail when using
this one.
Grades 1-2: 15-30 minutes per day, 1-2.5 hours per week
Grades 3-4: 20-50 minutes per day, 1.5-3 hours per week
Grades 5-6: 30-60 minutes per day, 2-4 hours per week
