Computer Art and Graphics

In this class students will learn to use Photoshop as a means of creating many projects, such as retouching photos, adding color to black and white photos, making logos, redesigning CD covers, freehand art, collages, and more.

 

-Learn about Photoshop desktop including image window, painting, and editing tools and palettes.

-Learn how to navigate using Photoshop's magnification zooming features, the navigation palette, scrolling options and mouse techniques.

-Learn Photoshop shortcut keys and keyboard tricks.

-Learn how to use the "move tool" and arrow keys to rearrange and create a floating section.

 

IMAGE AND COLOR FUNDAMENTALS

Students will become familiar with the basic image and color concepts to choose the right settings and options for the desired results.

 

-CONFIGURING PHOTOSHOP'S COLOR SETTINGS FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE AND MANAGEABILITY

-WORKING WITH PATHS, LAYERS AND SELECTIONS

-IMAGE ENHANCEMENT AND CORRECTION: TONAL AND COLOR MANIPULATION TECHNIQUES

-ADVANCED CORRECTION TECHNIQUES AND SPECIAL EFFECTS

-STORING AND PHYSICALLY OUTPUTTING IMAGES
