Students of all classes are offered the wonderful experience of the Journalism classes. There are three levels of classes, Journalism I, II, and Advanced. Students in Journalism I will learn the fundamentals of journalistic writing. They learn the techniques of proofreading, newspaper layouts, advertising, and photography. They will put these skills to use in the next years of the course Journalism II and Advanced. Students who take the course are expected to turn in stories to be published in the school's own newspaper The T-Bolt Tribune. So see your counselor today to be on your way to a career in journalism.
The T-Bolt
Tribune staff sells ads for its paper at
$3 per column inch. A business card sized ad only costs
$18. Advertisements are great ways to wish friends happy
birthdays or to sell a product or a service to high school students
and their parents. With over 1800 students and teachers,
The T-Bolt Tribune is seen by
many people, so it's a great way to advertise for a low, low cost.
The Journalism
students take an annual field trip to Bowling Green State University
to attend a Journalism
workshop. There the students
learn different ways to layout pages and write stories. They also get
to interact with students from all around Ohio and get different
ideas for how they want the paper to look.
