Progress Book is an electronic gradebook that Northmont implemented district-wide at the beginning of this school year, 2004-2005.

Parents will now be able to go on-line to monitor their child’s progress in school. Northmont City Schools is excited to announce a new tool that is now available for parents of all children in grades 4-12. The Parent Access feature of Progress Book, the districts new electronic grade book program, enables parents to access essential information about their child such as grades, attendance, assignments, and messages from their child’s teacher(s.)

One parent has already stated “I really like to be able to go on-line to stay aware of my child’s grades. Teenagers don’t always share that information with their parents!” This feature is another tool that meets the goal of a strong communication link between parents and staff.

You can log on to the Parent Access feature through any Internet connection by going to Northmont City Schools website at http://www.northmontschools.com and clicking on the Progress Book icon located in the far left-hand side of the page.  If your child has not already received their username and password then it will be provided to elementary and middle school parents during 3rd quarter parent-teacher conferences and mailed to high school parents with their child’s 3rd quarter interim reports.  If you already have received this information and have logged on please continue using your current password.

If you have any questions or problems with the Parent Access feature of Progress Book, please call the Northmont Technology Department at 832-5065.
