Field Trip Information

Northmont Middle School Building Field Trip Expectations

Participation in all trips is a privilege, not a right. Therefore, any student who accumulates any of the following will not be permitted to participate in field trips:

  • Out of school suspension: 2 or more days up to and including the date of departure. * WASP: 6 assigned prior to the date of departure.
  • School and Lunch Detentions: 15 total school and lunch assigned prior to the date of departure.
  • Unexcused Absences: A student may not accumulate 5 consecutive unexcused absences during the school year, a total of 7 unexcused absences in a month, and/or 12 unexcused absences in one school year.
  • Receiving an F in 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters in two core classes (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) Grade restriction applies to 8th Grade Washington, D.C. trip ONLY

*These guidelines are per semester for building/team field trips
*These guidelines are per school year for the 8th-Grade Washington, DC Trip
*Note: Any student removed from the Washington, D.C. trip for disciplinary reasons prior to departure will receive a full refund of any money paid toward the trip, except for the initial deposit.
