I have worked in Northmont City Schools for 3 years as an Intervention Specialist and now as the new TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) for the past 2 years. I am excited to be in this new position at EH for the second year! I got my Bachelors in Special Education at The University of Dayton. Then I got my Masters in Educational Leadership and Principalship at UD, shortly after. I am currently in the home stretch of completing my Educational Doctorate in Ed Leadership through the University of Dayton as well.
After wonderful days at work I enjoy coming home to my house full of animals! I have 2 dogs, a border collie named Simon and a pit bull named Alice. Plus 2 cats, a siamese named Vedder and a barn kitty named Jolene. I have happily been married to my high school best friend Keegan for almost 5 years! We love to enjoy the outdoors, play music and cook yummy food! My passion and drive to get involved in education began at a young age. I have a twin sister who has cognitive and speech delays, as well as seizures. I grew up as the sibling on the other end of an IEP meeting and was able to see first hand the highs and lows of my own sisters education. This life long experience, the love for my sister and the friends we shared no matter the ability drove me to go to school for education!
Advocating for and collaborating with students and families has been my passion for longer than I even could comprehend. I truly appreciate the opportunities that Northmont provides staff, students and families to grow not just as learner but socially, emotionally and equitably. Northmont has been my professional home for 5 years now and the community that Thunderbolts create is a prosperous one!
