The Insider's Story: Ms. Hajarian's 6th Grade Class

Taking assessments in Ms. Hajarian's class.

The Insider's Story for

Ms. Hajarian’s 6th Grade Class

The coolest thing we are doing right now…

… reading the book Out of My Mind.

…  is Greek and Latin root words.

… is learning about maps and globes.

… is reading Out of My Mind then doing group discussions about the book.

My favorite thing about our classroom…

… is the back of the room where there is a map of the world which can help you if you are trying read a map.

… my classmates and my teacher. Everybody is really nice.

… is that we get to do Star of the Week and bring in pictures.

… is my teacher. She is very kind.

… is that the classroom is colorful. There is Star of the Week so you can see everyone’s pictures of what they did when they were young or what they do now.

What you should know about our teacher…

... is that Ms. Hajarian is a fair teacher. She also understands us.

… is that she gives very good instructions on what we are doing.

… is that Ms. Hajarian always wants you to be on task and be kind to the people around you.

The funniest things my teacher said recently was…

… when a computer started to play music she said, “Who is doing this? Stop it. Oh, it is my computer, my music!”

… that Mr. Watkin’s is kind of scared of roller coasters and when she rode with him she couldn’t stop laughing.

… when she said “Hi, ______” with one student’s name and meant another.

… “My son would be mad if he knew I was telling you this.”

Our favorite way to celebrate success in the  classroom is …

… doing extra recess

… having a little time to talk with friends.

… getting an “opportunity”. Then you might win something in the weekly drawing.

… clapping.

This year I hope we….

… make memories.

… learn some of a different language, like Spanish, French, or Italian.
