Principal's Message

Dear Community:

I've decided that my principal's message should come from the students.  I want to share with you their experiences and thoughts....  Each month we will share a student' reflection on Northmoor.

What It’s Like Being At Northmoor

*I started at Northmoor in first grade and Mrs. McFadgen was my teacher. I had a great start in school and made new friends on the first day. Over the years school gets harder, but all you need to do is pay attention, turn in all assignments, and study for every test. I love how everyone is nice to each other and respectful. Most days I’m in a good mood. I start my homework and I get it turned in everyday.

It may be hard to start at a public school for the first time, or transition to a new school, but students will enjoy this school. We have tutors that can help you if you are struggling. If you do get honor roll, which is two A’s and two B’s or higher in the four main subjects, then you can get a movie in the gym, ice cream at lunch, or some other fun reward.

I’m positive that you will enjoy this school if you are just joining today. That's what it’s like to be at Northmoor and to learn to be a lifelong learner and responsible human being.

*I have been at this school forever. This school is very welcoming every morning and every new school year. I’m sad I won’t be at this school next year but I’m hoping that the Northmont Middle School is just as great. The people here are always great and friendly as well as the teachers who always make sure you understand everything they teach. Mr. Lawrence is very involved and is more like a teacher than a principal to everyone. He’s easy to talk to and loves hearing new ideas to make our school even better.

Since Kindergarten so many things have changed for the better. We have gotten better equipment, supplies, and people. Being in Aspirations, we are always coming up with new ideas to make our school and community better, including our Community Tables, FISH food drive, our Gaga pit, the community breakfasts,  our inclusion playground and so much more. In conclusion, I’m very glad to be at this school all my life and it's gotten better each year, and I hope it continues like that.
