We would like to welcome you to join us in completing the United Way’s 21-day equity challenge beginning February 1. Black history is American history, but this month is providing us an opportunity to dig deeper with the hope that our individual and collective action can reduce inequity, racism, and the opportunity gap.
This discussion around equity is not new to Northmont. In order to provide better educational opportunities for all Northmont students, we have been in a three-year partnership with Learn to Earn Dayton and the Montgomery County ESC’s Equity Fellows initiative. Because we are committed to doing this work, we will continue to provide opportunities like this for our community.
For more information about this voluntary 21-day challenge, please click HERE. Our family engagement coordinator, Jenn Mills will also share the link through text.
Knowing yourself and others around you is a great way to connect, so take the journey and grow. We hope you’ll consider joining us because we are all Thunderbolts Serving Thunderbolts! Go Bolts!
PLEASE NOTE: You may receive an email mentioning that the challenge doesn't start until October 5. We have chosen to do this now, so please disregard that message.
